Sorry for the lack of updates. I've been keeping the promise to myself that I'd enjoy the heck out of my summer break. Let me try to give you the gist of what I've done and seen so far (minus the depressing work stories):
- Trips to the beaches
- Sleepover at Pam's house
- Graduation, birthday, and bbq parties
- Hung out with my best girlfriends
- Met a boy
- Spent quality time with, went to dinner with, and trips to the beach with aforementioned boy
- Saw Jason Mraz in Newport with Joan, Pam, and Danielle
- Got my hair cut
- Saw Brian Regan in Newport with Joan
- Saw Fiona Apple and Damien Rice in concert
- Took lots of pictures
That's all I recall but I'll let you know if I remember anything else.
Things that need to be accomplished before the summer is over:
- Hang out with Christina at least ONCE (I miss you girlfriend!)
- Daytrip to the city
- Visit David in Brooklyn (I miss you like woah!)
- Jazz concerts on the green in New Haven
- Go back to karaoke night at Caffe Bottega
- BBQ party at my house
And I never forgot: HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOGDAN!! You need to email me and give me your current address, phone number, and marital status so we can catch up sometime.
I recently bought a wireless network card for my laptop and I'm so excited to be able to take advantage of free wifi at my favorite area coffee shops. The Starbucks in Mystic is a loser because they have no wifi so I've moved to do my browsing at Panera or Borders. Children, who can tell me who's a nerd?!
I also found out that my bosses at work attend the same church that I used to go to when I lived in New Haven during the semester. There's a chance they might know some people that I know! How crazy is that?! You don't care, do you? Fine.
I'm reading this book called The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon. He wrote the book as if a teenage boy with autism wrote it. It's interesting to me because I've recently decided to become a music therapist and work with autistic children. I really like it so far.
The tentative date for my party is Saturday, August 5th. Pre-party party is this saturday. Get in touch if you're interested in coming.
