Wanna hear something funny?

Apparently I sleep with one eye open.

No, I'm not paranoid with delusions of grandeur.

My eye doctor told me that a part of my left eye is dry and it's a result of being partially open while I sleep. That must be a funny sight. I can't seem to keep my mouth or one eye closed at night; I'm a winner! My future husband should be glad to have me as a bedfellow.

I'm doing this instead of going shopping

What I've been up to this month:
- I saw Steve Byrne live, met him after the show, got hugged, and got a free DVD from him
- Had my end-of-the-summer party (which was awesome)
- Hung out with some coworkers and was happy to find out that Jojo and Sarah both love RENT as much as I do. But they put me to shame because I didn't know all the words to the songs.
- Saw Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, and both versions of The Producers
- Went to visit my friend Danielle in Hamden to have our much anticipated "Clue Night" where we watched the movie Clue and played Clue at the same time. Her mom made us pizza and she brought me to Koffee Too?, one of my favorite coffee shops in New Haven. Fun was had and crazy photos were taken.
- Joan and I went to the New Haven Jazz Festival this past saturday to hear the Thelonius Monk Band play. The fourth generation Thelonius played.
- I donated blood yesterday. The lady that measured my blood pressure called me little girl and b baby and made me feel special because my blood type is rare.

- This weekend I'm going to visit Lissette and celebrate her 21st birthday. Then on sunday Joan and I are going to Schemitzun. There's also a rodeo there but I'm pretty sure I won't be going to that. Though I'm tempted to wear my cowboy hat and see if I can rope a cute cowboy...
- I also want to see Little Miss Sunshine, Idlewild, The Illusionist (just to see Ed Norton, ooh my), The Black Dahlia, The Last Kiss, All the King's Men, and Marie Antoinette to name a few.

Right now I'm sitting on my sister's porch using her wireless internet and listening to music. I'm totally obsessed with the band Of Montreal! I can't describe what their music sounds like but if you've got an eclectic taste in music and like a trippy sound, you might like Of Montreal. I was slightly disturbed/amused to hear their song Wraith Pinned to the Mist (and Other Games) being parodied for an Outback Steakhouse radio jingle recently. Can you believe that? You should hear how bad and humorous it sounds.

I'm eager for the fall semester to start. I've got classes on monday, wednesday, friday and I'll continue working on the other days. I'm also working on designing a website for someone so I should be busy busy busy!

And that's all I've got to say. Much love.

I realized how much of a wuss I am

I cut my finger at work the other day. It was kinda cool and kinda not cool at the same time. It was kinda cool because I hit my finger on sharp stainless steel good enough to cut all the way through the layer of skin that I could see bone flesh. Then it wasn't cool because it gushed blood and my coworker James had to be a nurse and take care of it for me while Andy stood nearby to laugh at me.

Soonafter I washed off the blood and James sprayed the cut and put bandaids on it, (mind you, it didn't hurt at all while he fixed me up) my body went into defense mode. My hearing was going out, my vision narrowed and blurred, my body weakened, and I perspired all over. I was thinking it wasn't that bad of a cut and I wasn't grossed out by blood so I thought it was weird that I felt like passing out on the baker's make table.

So for the next 15 minutes in between making iced coffees really slow I used a small fridge to lean over and be embarrassed until things went back to normal.

Hey, wanna see something gross?

I sure enjoy a good anonymous racist comment! Christina, has your sister been visiting my website?

Just kidding.

No I'm not.

Yes I am.

no, i'm not.
